Ani Mobile App 1.0

The Ani Mobile App serves as a valuable resource for introducing the Archaeological Site of Ani, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016. By leveraging modern communication technologies, the app aims to make scientific information about this significant site more accessible to a broader audience.

With detailed information on 45 structures in and around Ani, the app offers content in three languages, categorizing insights into history, architecture, art history, and architectural preservation. Users can explore four main routes designed around various themes associated with the site, facilitating a thematic experience during their visit. Furthermore, the app allows users to customize their itineraries by selecting structures of interest.

The auditory experience enhances user engagement, featuring narrations of Ani's complex history by notable voices including Mahir Günşiray, Şenay Gürler, Tilbe Saran, and Görkem Yeltan in Turkish, Dr. Elmon Hançer in Armenian, as well as Dr. Christina Maranci, Veronica Kalas, and Robert Dulgarian in English.

In addition to a glossary of technical terms to aid comprehension, the app provides a guiding bibliography for those seeking deeper academic insights. For users interested in assessing their understanding of Ani’s history and significance, a quiz feature is also available.
